Side Effects of Calcium

Last week, my father was diagnosed with blocked arteries on right heart sphere.  He is scheduled to check for liver health and diabetic level before going for stent operation.

To my surprise and dismay, I could not believe it.   My father has been working hard to stay in shape by eating healthy food and exercise daily despites having diabetes.

My elder sister and I suspected from quick research that the culprit could be his calcium supplement.  He has been taking Caltrate for years.

We learnt lessons with deep regrets and sorrow that we should never focus only on benefits (positive) of any particular pills/supplements/herbs.

When something happened, it is family who suffers.
